1. What is the Profiles Team Analysis™ and how does it work?

Profiles Team Analysis™ is an online assessment (pencil/paper versions are also available) taken by each member of a workgroup or team within your organization. The Profiles Team Analysis gathers information about team members in twelve essential areas:

  • Control

  • Precision

  • Positive expectancy
  • Composure

  • Quality orientation

The program then conducts an analysis of the data and produces an insightful report that increases the team’s likelihood of success. This system can be a key factor in forming more effective teams that employ the power of synergistic energy to accomplish your organization's goals.

2. What are the benefits of using Profiles Checkpoint ?

Profiles Team Analysis was validated in 1998 assuring that it does not discriminate against any protected group. A copy of the validation study is available for purchase.

4. How long does it take to complete the Profiles Checkpoint?

It typically takes an individual approximately 15-20 minutes to complete the respondent booklet.

5. What do the reports cover?

Team Analysis reports have four main sections:

Team Balance Table
This part of the report shows how the team leader and team members scored in each of the twelve factors (see the Team Analysis product information page for details). This provides the team leader with a visual representation of the characteristics of the team.

Overall Team Balance
Another section identifies the characteristics which are and those which are not well represented on the team. Suggestions are provided on how to deal with these deficiencies.

Behavioral Factors
The third section lists the dominant behavioral facts of each team member. With this data the team leader can utilize the natural characteristics of team members to accomplish team goals.

Team Leader Action Summary
This key section advises the team leader on specific suggestions for supervising individual team members including recommended action steps.

6. How long does it take to get a report?

The length of time required for survey completion is a function of the mailing date and how quickly surveys are completed by the Participant, Boss, Peers, and Direct Reports. When survey booklets are distributed, everyone should be asked to complete their surveys promptly - within 24 hours if possible. Checkpoint Feedback Reports are usually delivered within 2 or 3 working days of the mailing date.
